The majority of the population believes that the pandemic will change our lives in the long term
87 percent of Austrians believe that the wearing of protective masks in everyday life will remain commonplace even after the corona crisis. This is shown by a recent survey of the IMAS Institute. In total, around three out of four fellow countrymen expect the pandemic to change our everyday life in the long term.
90% think that we will be more sensitive to sick and coughing people in the future, 80% that welcome kisses and hugs will be replaced by other rituals.
But the pandemic will also leave a lasting mark on working life: 89% think that fear for their jobs will increase, 87% expect more short-time work and the increased use of home office and video conferencing.
